By-Laws

The following are the bi-laws of the Guardians of the Flame. All members are excepted to adhere to these laws.

General

  • The Guild Commander, Deputy Guild Commander, and Chief of Staff, herein referred to as the High Council, hold absolute authority over the guild and all decisions made by the High Council are final.
  • If anyone commits or attempts to commit murder on a guild member or allied member, they shall be banned or executed.
  • All guild issues stay within the guild, if found giving information to any outside source, including but not limited to the roster, missives, and private conversations, this will result in a demotion, fines and/or banishment.
  • All members will treat other members with respect.
  • If a member has a problem or concern, they should first go to their Division Commander, if the issue is not resolved, then it is brought before the High Council for a final decision. Any disputes brought before the HC that are not resolved will result in an Honor Match to end the dispute. Terms of the HM will be decided upon by the participants.
  • Mailstorm's are prohibited. (Using Reply All” with issues or complaints.) Members should write their DC or the High Council directly with complaints.
  • Members will conduct themselves with honor in public places or stand before the High Council to be judged and place actions against those found to be guilty of misconduct.
  • Members are to treat all Division Commanders with the same due respect as they would the High Council. These are members in high standing.
  • Members will honor all treaties formed by the guild.
  • Anyone who is found guilty of treason, will be banished or executed.

OOC

  • We do not have set activity requirements within the guild. Those who are active will advance in rank and standing.
  • SN deletions without prior notice are frowned upon. Deleted names will be left on the roster for one month. If you do not notify your DC or the High Council you will be removed from the guild.
  • Guild members are expected to comply with all AOL rules.
  • Members should also become familiar with the rules of AoRG. Any member found breaking the rules will be brought before the Triad for review and potential discipline. Honor and integrity is essential to GF. Harassment and threats between muns will NOT be tolerated. Anyone found to be participating in said harassment will immediately be terminated.

Mail

  • Official guild mail will have GF first on the subject line. The current roster is to be saved for reference. This helps in recognizing allies and fellow members.
  • Additionally any missives from a commanding officer must be read and acknowledged for their orders to be valid.
  • Deleting or ignoring official guild mail will result in demotion or termination. Members are responsible for knowing what is in the mail if they have not read it and have no excuse for not reading it.
  • Mass forwarding of mail will be not be tolerated. The misuse of the mail string will result in penalties and possible termination.

Buddy Lists

  • Once you have the roster update your buddy list it should always carry all the current members. This is for your safety and your convenience. For if you need help they are there to be called on.

Meetings

  • We encourage members to attend meetings. If there is a reason you cannot attend you must let your DC and the High Council know. If the absence is unexpected, send a missive as soon as you are able. Meetings will be scheduled one week in advance. This gives members a chance to reply if they cannot make it.
  • Roll call will be done at the meetings.
  • Additionally there will be a record of the meeting, this record will be sent out after the meeting for your reference.

Forum Membership

  • GF is a member of the Association of Rhydin Guilds. GF should be your primary guild unless a member serves in the high chain of command in another guild. The High Council will rank such members as it sees fit. Commitment is imperative to the success of the guild. Our goal is to form a tight knit group of role players and an interesting place to play, not to fluff a roster.
